Formed
by guitarist, vocalist and sole survivor Chuck Schuldiner, Florida-based
literally invented, redefined and mastered the sounds of death
metal. From the 1983 Mantas demo (the first moniker of Death)
to their current LP offering "Human", the band has evolved from
bone-basic primitivity to a flawless technicality imitated by
many but matched by none. Through it all, Death has maintained
a superior level of quality, sending imitators running and critics
praising.
